Dr. Mahathir is a great Mentor of mine and I owe him a great deal for his generous advice and help in making me somebody today. My days in UMNO were closely guided by this great master Politician who knows what he is doing. The recent spray case between me and Dr. Mahathir was a political play by a Politician. Dr. Mahathir knows it is just a case it should not have been played out in court. Following this episode, I felt that I have been betrayed and decided to quit as UMNO member on 19 May 2007. The same month, I joined PPP, another component party of BN, who respected me as a Politician.
Personally, I am very grateful to Datuk Dr. M Kayveas who have given me a chance to be part of a great multiracial party. Today, 19 May 2008, surprisingly the same day one year later, we witnessed the resignation of Dr. Mahathir from UMNO because he felt that his advice is not welcomed any more in a party that he had served for many years. This is exactly how I felt when I decided to leave UMNO in 2007. Looking back, I now know that I have made the right decision. You can still serve the Rakyat in another component party of BN. I sincerely hope Dr. Mahathir will work with me to create a truly national multiracial party outside BN and make Onn Jaafar dream a reality.

Tun Mahathir was UMNO's longest serving president and Malaysia's best known prime minister. He was responsible for pushing the country to achieve greatness that it is capable of. Unfortunately he does not foresee that his vision of Malaysia with UMNO at its helm being rapidly derailed. Thus we see the sad day when a patriot had to leave a party that he had helped to build up. If this action of Tun does not affect UMNO and its members I realy worry that UMNO is in a very bad moral and spiritual shape. That means they are so egoistic that they belittle this heartwrenching gesture of Tun or they are so full of self interest that they dont care what this reflects on the party natoion and we malas as a whole, Memang Melayu mudah lupa dan sudah lupa terutama bila sudah di sogok dengan wang dan kuasa.
To Tun you are still the greatest. You are the only person I know who have the intergrity and who realy walk the talk. Others just talk and talk thats all. Good Luck and may the Blessing of ALLAH SWT. be with you always.
Wasallam.

Pas 'ready to accept new partners'
KOTA BARU: Pas is willing to establish ties or accept new political partners as long as they can accept its Islamic-based political ideologies.
Pas spiritual advisor Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat, who is Kelantan menteri besar, said the party had proven its sincerity through its actions in accepting other race-based political parties or groups.
Even though these ties eventually became unravelled, as it did with the Chinese Consultative Council, the now-defunct Semangat 46 and DAP, he said this was due to their decision to reject the party's stand on Islam. They could not accept Islam.
"We believe in treating everyone the same, irrespective of race and religion, as long as they can accept us and our stand.
"My policy is simple. I adopt an open attitude. If DAP wants to return to the Alternative Front (a front it formed with Parti Keadilan Rakyat), we will welcome them," he said yesterday after performing the akad nikah of the daughter of Kelantan People's Progressive Party chairman and shipping millionaire Datuk Nik Sapeia Yusoff in Pasir Tumboh here.
Nik Sapeia said his decision to invite Nik Aziz to perform the akad nikah was not a political decision.
Although he admitted to receiving offers from Pas to form a pact with eight state seats before the general election, it was not entertained by the party leadership.
"Both our grandfathers were best friends and they had made an oath of friendship which has been maintained through the generations.
"Our families have maintained good ties despite our different political beliefs. In Kelantan, we can be on opposing sides politically but maintain personal ties."
Question:
Datuk, if PAS offer you 8 state seat now, will you join PAS?
Heard that you offer Tun M to join PPP and give him any post in the party.
My question to you is what if other party like Umno, Pkr or Pas offer you the same, which one will you choose?
